Healthy Breathing with Proper Breathing Techniques!

Breathing is life's most basic function. Most of the time, however, you breathe superficially without being aware of it. Changing your breathing habits may seem easy, but it takes regular practice. By devoting 5-10 minutes a day to breathing exercises, you can pave the way for positive changes both physically and mentally.

How to do it?

4-7-8 Breathing (Stress Reliever)

  • Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds
  • Hold your breath for 7 seconds
  • Breathe out slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds
  • Repeat 4-5 times.

Abdominal Breathing (Diaphragmatic Breathing)

  • Place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly
  • Inhale deeply through your nose feeling your abdomen expand
  • Let your abdomen fall inward slowly as you exhale
  • Do this exercise for 5 minutes every day, especially in the morning.

Alternate Nostril Breathing

  • Close the right nostril, Inhale deeply through the left nostril
  • Close the left nostril, Inhale deeply through the right nostril
  • Repeat the same cycle, inhaling from the right and exhaling from the left
  • Repeat 2-3 times
