What is in-vitro fertilization (IVF)?
In-vitro fertilization or IVF is the process of bringing together a woman's egg and a man's sperm in the laboratory for fertilization, and then transferring the embryo to the potential mother's uterus after an growth period of 5 days.
Is there an age limit for in-vitro fertilization?
Upper age limit is 45
Who is a candidate for in-vitro fertilization?
First, we carefully consider individual health circumstances of the couple that cannot have a baby within a certain period of time. In the light of the data we obtained, and in consideration of the age of the couple, especially the woman's age, and history of previous treatments, we may start the IVF process as soon as possible, but in some cases we first try simpler methods, and then proceed to IVF treatment depending on the patient’s condition
What is the in-vitro fertilization treatment process?
In-vitro fertilization treatment is partly individualized. The same treatment protocol may not always be applicable to all patients. In particular, the potential mother’s age, ovarian reserve, weight, and past treatments, if any, are all taken into consideration to determine a treatment protocol. This is because working couples have come to represent a significant portion of our patient portfolio. New treatment protocols to enable working patients to undergo this treatment process without interrupting their work are being developed all over the world. Drug administration protocols are also being adapted accordingly. We had to see the patients every day throughout the treatment process, but now we see them every 3 days or every 5 days, and sometimes several times to complete the process successfully.
